The house is build using various energy-efficient and energy producing technologies. The solar-powered house is insulated in the way that once the indoor air is heated or cooled, it stays that way longer.
The Tech team is at the final stage of the initial concept phase of its solar-powered house. And, it will compete in Washington, D.C. in the fall of 2007, at the Solar Decathlon 2007 competition.
