Wolf Hibertz plans to use the oceans as the site for the homes of the future. Though he has facts to back his so called future project, but the thought remains rather dubious as of now. Hilbertz has found a way to use sunlight to turn the minerals in seawater into limestone, which in turn can be used to construct floating island homes.
A huge limestone dam will surround the city, Hilbertz says, and building components will be grown in the sea. Solar and wind generators will furnish power. So too will a thermal energy conversion system that will extract power from temperature differences among different ocean currents.
