I agree that we need to incorporate a bit of greenness in to our work life too by going for eco-friendly furniture and lights and using recycled stuff. But Fujitsu wants us to move a step ahead by swapping our Vaios and Macbooks for its WoodShell concept PC. Crafted out of cedar wood, it is part of the Japan Design Innovation 2008 exhibit at the Salone Internazionale Del Mobile in Milan. In conjunction with the wooden casing, they have used a green keyboard too…..but it’s only the color that is green there. Although still in conceptual stage, this environment friendly lappie will find its way to the production level soon. However it may not appeal to all as we love to let our fingers go loose on something more sleeker and sexier. Though not much is know about this wooden baby, thumbs up to Fujitsu for an attempt to go green.
