Eco Factor: Zero-emission tractor powered by solar energy and hydrogen fuel cells.
Aiming to bring sustainable machines to urban farms, industrial designer Prithu Paul has conceptualized a zero-emission concept tractor that is powered by hydrogen fuel cells and nano solar cells. Christened the Deuterium, the tractor features an onboard CPU, GPRS and sensor controlled motion path allocation.
The onboard systems allow freedom in motion and body positioning for autonomous farming. The futuristic machine is embedded with nano solar cells and incorporates a 360-degree light and night vision camera feed that allows it to continue farming day and night.
Integrating vacuum power suction at the rear to pull heavy farm equipment and farming tools, the Deuterium comes equipped with a retractable and expandable axial shift mechanism to adjust the ground clearance and the length of the vehicle.
