Five million people in Bangladesh get clean solar energy

Solar Energy
Today, solar power is one thing that does not contribute to global warming in the world. We all know that solar power is good, but still the global demand for renewable solar energy isn’t as much as environmentalists over the world think to the ideal. While some countries still see solar as an expensive means of generating clean energy, Bangladesh, which isn’t the best on the economic front is option to use renewable solar energy to power a whopping one million homes.

In Bangladesh, where in 2002 only 7000 homes were using solar power, now more than one million households or about five million people are using solar energy generated by solar panels that are being installed on the rooftops which have an incredible capacity to supply power. One of the greatest advantage of using solar energy is that its very low on maintenance. Once the initial set up is done, for which the government is a big back up, one has nothing to pay to keep it going for long. Since 60 percent homes in Bangladesh aren’t connected to the electrical grid they see solar power as a clean and fruitful option for lighting up their homes.
