The ultimate test of creativity is to come up with fabulous creations within the set limitations. Loads of imagination and the desire to excel probably brings the best out of a designer. Designer Fethi Atakol seems to have mastered the art of creating extra-ordinary creations from ordinary objects. His collection displayed at Milan 2008 shows that eco-friendly and recycled art can not only be functional but also funky and groovy enough to be displayed as highlighted accents. So you have a pan turned into clock, colander transformed into table lamp, a suitcase getting a makeover as a center table and an ol’ side table turned into an ottoman. Now, who says recycled products can’t get a funky n functional makeover?
