Eco Factor: Christmas tree made from 300 recycled glass water bottles.
Paprika Design Studio has created an unconventional Christmas tree for Montreal-based furniture retailer Domison. Known as the “Ice-Tree,” the tree is being showcased in Domison’s store in Montreal. The tree is made from more than 300 Canadian mineral glass water bottles assembled together. The tree was made by four people after two days of intensive glasswork. Since the tree makes use of recycled glass, light falling on the artwork is reflected back, creating an ice-like sparkle. The tree will be on show until January.
The Dark Side:
Undoubtedly, the sheer brilliance of the Christmas tree will make some heads turn. Apart from the fragile properties of glass, we really appreciate the efforts of the design team.
