With the world turning into a global village, millions of folks travel across the globe primarily to boost trade and economy. However, in doing so, we have victimized our environment by leaving behind non-reversible carbon footprints. Most of us are aware of the fact that the aviation industry has been among the largest contributor to push the graph of global warming higher. Does that mean that we should curb our progress and stay where we are? Designer Robert Nightingale differs, and has come up with an eco-friendly alternative concept called Environment. Zooming at an equivalent high-speed, this avant-garde eco-vehicle looks like a fine-tuned bullet train. Exceptionally designed to render innovative digital as well as factual experience, this kind of mode of transport provides the travelers with an environment conducive for work as well as leisure.
Winning awards with exceptionally designed interiors, users can avail the luxurious roomy compartments.
From the images, I can make out that it is divided into specific zones targeting particular users. With such ingenious aims and well-planned setup, Environment steered in as a finalist at the Microsoft Next Generation Design Competition 2007.
The Dark Side: To start off, I would be glad if the designer had been liberal with more specific details about the vehicle. I’m still wondering how it will run at high speeds and what kind of materials it will be made up of. Is it going to run on tracks or hover over land as well as water? If it targets connecting people on a global level, there has to be some way for the Environment to move over oceans.
