Eco Factor: Solar power system from Kyocera.
The lack of fossil fuels required to generate energy and the need to go green point in just one direction – solar energy. The means to harness the power of the sun are infinite, but the more efficient the PV modules are the less electricity finally costs. Kyocera has recently announced the newest in solar power systems dubbed the MyGen. MyGen is a grid-tie solar power system that is compatible with a wide variety of roof types and materials.
The system comes in five different versions, which basically use the same Kyocera KD180 PV modules. The only difference in the systems is their configuration, which users can choose according to their needs. The systems come along with a DC-to-AC power conversion system so you can directly connect the modules to your appliances. Other safety features introduced in the system are DC wiring and protection, AC wiring and protection and lighting protection. The systems can be connected to one another to meet your personal power requirements.
The Dark Side:
Compatible with a wide variety of roof materials and shapes, the system will definitely satisfy the needs of the consumers. However, with no major change in the PV modules, the system’s performance will not be much different from its predecessors.
