Eco Factor: Solar power plant to generate renewable energy for 1000 households.
UK-based Eco Sustainable Solutions has put forward a plan to build a 5MW solar power plant in Dorset, South West England, which will generate enough electricity to power 1000 households. Christened the Parley Solar Farm, the project will also help save more than 1100 tons of carbon emissions each year.
The company will work closely with Dorset County Council to build the plant in 30 acres of land. The project will include more than 30,000 photovoltaic panels, which will be placed on a frame no taller than 180cms. The farm will be a part of an integrated renewable energy farm comprising solar, anaerobic digestion and biomass facilities. If the plan gets the green light, the company will be able to produce 12MW of green electrical power on the site.
