Eco Factor: Lightweight prefabricated cabin for eco-adventurers.
Eskimos have been using this design for centuries to provide them with insulation and resistance against the sub-zero temperatures, and now an Australian manufacturer, Icewall One, has worked on the design to provide transport-able accommodations for remote areas. The Igloo Satellite Cabin was originally designed to aid researchers but is gaining popularity as an attractive alternative for eco-tourism.
The cabin is constructed using lightweight fiberglass and can easily be transported to a required destination using a boat, truck, helicopter and even a snowmobile. The polyurethane insulation provides a comfortable living space and the fiberglass construction helps it stand the harshness of the polar climate.
Each unit has ventilation in the door and the top and can be made available in a wide range of colors to suit individual needs.
