Eco Factor: Ecofriendly MP3 player is charged by motion.
Most people have a habit of moving everything that they hold, industrial designer Thomas Mascall is getting something from this common habit, which we all require in abundance – energy. Tomas has designed an MP3 player, dubbed Chukka, which seems inspired from a nunchuck.
The track control section of the device contains an electromagnetic inducer that generates an electrical charge through any kind of motion or vibration. The volume control section on the other hand comprises of all other electronic components and the headphone output.
The player is to be held in the hand and can be moved in a variety of ways, each of which generates electricity according to the type and the force of motion.
