Eco Factor: Green homes loaded with eco-friendly features and sporting a Bio Recognition home automation system.
Green homes are becoming bit of a rave, and the fact that technology is bringing down their prices rapidly is also helping the cause. The Enovo Modular Homes follow, in spirit and in design, the philosophy of Native Indians to respect nature. The Green homes are equipped with features such as a rainwater harvesting system, natural insulation and energy-saving home gadgets. The carpet of natural vegetation on the roof and around the house makes for a wonderful self-sustaining natural insulator. Solar radiant heating adds to the effect and also produces some energy for the home.
Designed by a team of Canadian architects, the home has a very special Bio Recognition home automation system designed by IME to allow the integration of energy usage and to conserve excess energy. This system helps you constantly monitor your energy output and cut down on the excess.
The Dark Side:
While the features sound great, it would be far better to judge when the actual numbers are shown. The home also does not claim to be a zero-energy dwelling, and it seems to not have any LEED rating either. Once that information is available, it will be far more trustworthy, unless the claims aren’t true. Also, the construction material and how green it is has not been touched upon.
