Eco Factor: Handset powered by solar energy.
The Mobile World Congress saw cellphone manufactures showcasing green cellphones that were made from green materials and used green energy for power. While Samsung took the leap to launch their first solar-powered low-cost phone in the Asian markets, ZTE too launched their low-cost phone the ZTE Coral 200 Solar.
The Chinese manufacturer has hinted that the company is planning to develop a new Android handset, which could be powered by solar energy. The phone could be available by 2010. The company is looking carefully toward the Android platform and the type of solar panels that would be needed to power this revolutionary device.
