Spanish company Vexia has announced a new GPS navigation system that not only guides you on your trip, but also helps you get the most from your car. The system, dubbed Econav 435 GPS, will offer information regarding the most economical route, which gear to use and when and even inform the driver on how firmly he or she should accelerate.

Before starting a trip, all that the user has to do is to enter the model of the car, the fuel type used as well as the number of passengers in the car. After that the Econav 435 will suggest the optimum acceleration, gear shift pattern and the best route to follow. The device features a 4.3” touchscreen with 480X272 pixels, and SDHC expansion slot and a USB connection for future update of maps. The Econav 435 will be released in the UK this month for around ₤169.99 (USD$276), or ₤219.99 (USD$357) for a model with European maps.
