Eco Factor: Concept lunch box powered by solar energy.
Your picnic excitement comes to a standstill when you see the pizza you brought along become sticky and hard to eat. Keeping food items in the sun would definitely make them warm but would take away all moisture making them even harder to swallow. Why not use the sun to keep it fresh and warm at the same time? Industrial designer Songwei is doing just that in a concept lunch box wrapped in solar panels.
The lunch box has a built-in heater that gets powered by the solar panels incorporated on its face. The handle of the lunchbox is made of 2 piece rubber, which allows the
user to hook the lunch box onto his or her bag for allowing the panels to generate ample energy to run the heater. Songwei states that the main aim of the lunchbox is to promote healthy and home-cook food, which in a way reduces the litter produced by packed food items.
