Eco Factor: Air purification system works on solar energy.
Around the world, the air we breathe has always been a major concern to our health and our ecosystem. With the number of cars on the road increasing with every passing day, these problems will only escalate in the future. Industrial designer Ken Jasinski has tried to solve the problem with a product he calls the Symbiosis City Air Purifier.
The purifier has been designed to be mounted on streetlight poles. The system uses solar panels to generate enough energy to run its ultraviolet air purification system. During overcast days the system utilizes grid connectivity for power. The system captures carbon dioxide from the air and releases oxygen back into the atmosphere, hence purifying the air without making use of much energy. Apart from generating energy for itself, the ability to be easily recycled adds to its green credentials.
