Augen Electronics has showcased a solar-powered MP3 player that vows to save you from hand cranking a “green” MP3 player for some ecofriendly beats. Running on solar energy, the player consistently recharges an internal battery whenever you’re using it on a sunny day. Measuring just 1.5 inches X 1.5 inches, the player is perfect for exercising and traveling.
The player comes with easy-to-use touch playback controls and 2GB of onboard flash memory, which can store up to 500 songs at a decent bit rate. Sadly, you won’t get a display to play the song of your choice without shuffling across the entire playlist, but considering that the player retails for just $35, it’s not actually a bad deal.
