Eco Factor: Energy saving router restricts power when you’re not in home.
We’ve been regular in showcasing ingenious devices that cut down power to your home when you’re away. Most of these concepts depend on expensive motion detecting sensors to monitor your presence in your home. FutureRouters has also entered the market not with a hi-tech motion detecting router, but with a considerably low-tech but effective means to curb your energy usage.
Just like the router, the idea too is fairly simple – when you are indoors you are supposed to hang your keys on any one of the four hangers the router is equipped with. Hanging the keys triggers a switch to send power to your home, and when you are out, the system works in a completely opposite manner, switching off power.
There are still some drawbacks that a user will find in the system – what would you do if your refrigerator is connected to the system as well, of course you don’t want to spoil all that food in your refrigerator, when you’re out. Moreover, the system works when users hang keys, as of today most people are relying more on hi-tech security systems that offer keyless entry and exit.
