Eco Factor: Furniture made from waste metal.

English artist Bob Campbell (a.k.a Stig) relies on industries and trashed industrial parts for fascinating pieces of furniture that can grace any household with “green” beauty. The self-taught sculptor, turned environmentalists believes that everything that mostly all consider as waste can be recycled into something brilliant. The artist gathers industrial waste metal that includes everything from drums to chains and moulds it into furniture by incorporating leather, wood, steel and rubber, but never uses plastic.

Stig gathers industrial waste from South Yorkshire as it was once a region of England that was a center for heavy engineering and steel production. Crafting sculptures from industrial waste isn’t the only factor keeping Stig going as the artist things that everything he creates is a piece of history that addresses the global need to re-use and recycle existing materials. Even with so much talent, the artist rejects the conventional art sales model and keeps control over where and when his artwork is exhibited.
