Eco Factor: Concept phone harvests kinetic energy generated by the movement of the user.

Japanese mobile communication giant NTT DoCoMo believes that by the year 2020, cellphones will be stuffed with technology not many would anticipate today. The company is planning a high-tech wearable cellphone for the year 2020 that will also boast green credentials.

The phone will be made from recycled materials and will be powered by kinetic energy generated due to the movements of the user. The cellphone will also be equipped with simultaneous translation software to connect the user to everyone else, anywhere, anytime.

The cellphone will have a small flip-top screen and will be capable of projecting images onto a wall or into thin air in the form of a hologram. It will also be used as an ID to enter the family home or board a flight, a device to video-chat with friends and also a remote control to command the robo-vacuum cleaner.
