Eco Factor: Solar and electromagnetic wave powered concept phone.

News recently surfaced that Nokia is planning to develop new handsets that don’t need a connection to the wall socket as the phone will be powered by the electromagnetic waves emitted by wireless transmitters. The device is still on paper, and designers like Alexander Mukomelov have already planned a conceptual device that not only is powered by the same technology which Nokia is hinting at but also takes on any shape you might have dreamt of having.

The Magic Stone, as the phone has been christened, requires its users to order it online in any desired shape. The company developing the product will then design the phone in the required shape and fit in all electronics, touch screen and other communication systems in its case. Unlike the smart phones of today, this phone doesn’t include more of high-end technology like GPS and 3G but will have even better systems that include an on-board projector and a laser keyboard, other basic features like net surfing, calling and texting will remain unchanged.

The striking feature of the concept is that it never needs you to get it connected to any wall socket for a recharge, since even when it’s not able to gather enough charge from the electromagnetic waves, it will be able to recharge its batteries using a nano-material coating that will convert sunlight into electricity. The basic phone will come with a touchscreen interface, and laser bunches that can read the motion in the holographic projection field, what gives the additional possibility to operate the mobile phone.
