Eco Factor: Roll-up solar charger for portable electronic gadgets.
Sprint made news yesterday when the cellphone company announced the launch of new ecofriendly solar chargers for mobile devices, which could prove beneficial for campers, and now Konarka Technologies has tried to make solar charging for phones even more accessible and simple with a new roll-up charger for avid campers.
The chargers, which will definitely become a must-have object for all eco-minded gadget and camping enthusiasts, should be available as soon as this fall. The company doesn’t make a statement about the charger’s specifications and its cost, but it states that the charger will be available in two variants – a low-cost direct power unit and a more expensive charger with a built-in battery to allow the user to charge mobile devices in the absence of the sun.
