Eco Factor: Water saving device monitors flushes and prevents leaks and wastage.
An unattended running toilet can use more than 6000 gallons of water in just one day, which is much more than the average consumption of a normal household. A toilet gadget from a California company, AquaOne Technologies, can flush away all toilet-related worries by monitoring leaks and wastage.
Dubbed the H2Orb, the unique gadget can be installed between the water supply and the toilet hose, with a toilet bowl sensor and a tank sensor unit. The system monitors the water pressure and checks for leaks or excessively running flushes. On detecting a leak the system shuts off the water supply and alerts the user about the trouble.
The device costs $127, and the company claims that the device pays for itself in terms of water savings in the first year by simply preventing all leaks.
