Eco Factor: Concept cellphone charger provides a clean, off-grid charge.
Of all the human-powered charger concepts, the one by industrial designer Clara Zamboni does seem a wee bit more practical. Clara has designed a hand-held charger that converts human energy for an easy and green recharge. The inventor states that the energy converter, dubbed the Lotus, works by converting the energy generated by rotating nanogenerators with a thumb.
The device can be used for meditation purposes as well, enabling you to generate green energy unknowingly. The Lotus is designed with a USB output, which can enable you to charge cellphones, but we believe that if ever produced it might be helpful for other USB-charged devices as well.
