Eco Factor: Lamps made from recycled cassettes.
With cassettes being replaced with better technology such as CDs and PMPs, designers in different parts of the world are working to prevent old cassettes from being disposed in landfills. The Cassette’s Not Dead Lamps are just one way of doing so.
The lamps have been made from old audio tapes that are tied together to create a lampshade form. While the lamps can easily be created as a weekend DIY, OooMyDesign has made sure that you can own a few without testing your design skills. The lamps retail for $37.50 for the smallest one to $135 for the largest floor lamp.
