These rocking chairs are a transformation from theater chairs, deftly hand-crafted by the Derbyshire based designer. Cinema theaters dispose their old seats that are then converted into comfortable arm chairs to be used at homes.
Guy describes how he makes them:
“Firstly I restore and stain the original wood. Then the cast iron frame is sand blasted and professionally painted. I reupholster the seats and backrest with vibrant new fabrics. The rockers are made from local sources of wood and finally the chairs are assembled.”
These chairs come in a choice of two colours – red and blue upholstery with yellow sides, or green and neutral upholstery with pink sides. Each Rocky chair is priced at £1,499.99 incl. VAT. The price includes delivery to anywhere in the UK. And would take about 6 to 8 weeks to be delivered as it is hand made.
