Designer Seung Kim develops a perfect gardener for you that helps in nurturing plants and vegetables in your lawn and garden in a safer and sustainable way. Dubbed the “Eco-Drop”, this sustainable gardening system utilizes the benefits of Earthworms.
The Eco-Drop comprises of a worm compost bin, a feed tank, and compatible irrigation systems, which includes a sprinkler with a spike and an oscillating sprinkler that connects to a standard garden hose. Deriving the idea from an article on underground water contamination due to chemical fertilizers, Kim designed the system to streamline the currently complicated process of using the worm-juice as a fertilizer.
How it works? Just the garden hose to the irrigation system and the specially designed tube in the feed-tank regulates the mixing of the worm-juice with water, allowing the worm-juice to go straight from the worm compost bin to the system’s compatible irrigation systems. The mixture is then sprinkled to give you healthy plants and vegetables. The system eliminates the manual mixing of worm-juice with water and also lets Earthworms feed on our food waste, diverting food waste from landfills.
