Eco Factor: Concept vehicle integrated with hydroponic planters and water purification system.
While millions of people living in underdeveloped regions lack access to fresh water and food, industrial designers have taken up the job to develop systems that can sort out the problems with minimum environmental impact. Industrial designer Nicolás Chacana has come up with a concept vehicle that can solve both these problems in a sustainable fashion.
The vehicle, dubbed the Urban Concept Vehicle, is equipped with a water purification system that can provide potable water from any source of fresh water. In addition to providing drinkable water, the vehicle is also equipped with hydroponic planters that can be used by poor families to grow their own food.
