Eco Factor: Zero-emission car powered by electricity.
Chrysler’s much anticipated NEV has finally been showcased. Peapod, as the car has been christened, has been designed for you to drive around your city without worrying about your carbon footprint. The little car comes with suicide doors for easy entry, a windowed roof that can be removed for open air driving and decent boot space to allow you to store your shopping items easily.
Powered by the built-in battery pack, the car is expected to reach a top speed of 25mph and has an operating range of about 30 miles. The car should hit the streets in October at an estimated price tag of around $12,000.
The Dark Side:
Considering the car is a neighborhood electric vehicle, its speed had to be kept under regulations. However, the range of the car should have been improved for better usability.
