Eco Factor: Concept three-wheeler powered by a zero-emission hydrogen engine.

Concept car designer André Fangueiro believes that traveling on a congested urban highway can be made much more interesting with cars that are different, compact and above all ecofriendly. The same has been showcased in a concept car which Fangueiro calls the “Caravela.” The three-wheeled car is based on the Piaggio Ape – a 3 wheeler run around mostly for elderly people. The Caravela too runs on three-wheels but has been designed not just for efficiency but also for stylish looks.

The car is powered by a zero-emission hydrogen engine that powers the car to a decent speed of 70kmph, following the trend that nice cars go slow to be seen. The car will also be made using lightweight materials, which should add to its efficiency.

The Dark Side:

The top speed of just 70kmph would be fine for a relaxing evening drive but would surely get some frowns on a day when you are already running late for work.
