Car manufacturers around the world are getting ready to combat the fuel crisis with a whole new range of electric vehicles. Some of them are expensive and others are just too sluggish for you to reach the office on time. BugEV might have just struck the nail right on its head with a new DIY electric vehicle kit – a complete kit for you to assemble your own electric ride.
The kit comes in 75 parts that can easily be assembled into a nifty three-wheeler capable of hitting 30mph for a range of 30 miles. Developed by Blue Sky Designs, the basic kit costs $3500 plus shipping, but to get a feature loaded kit you’ll have to shell out about $5300 plus shipping.
The Dark Side:
The kit seems great for people who want to try out their hands in assembling their own personal vehicles, but the range and the top speed of the vehicle is still an area that needs some expertise.
