The Magnum 100’ emphasizes on reducing weight using lightweight, but strong materials for construction. The vessel is designed to be built in advanced composite foams and carbon fiber, thus saving more than 20% in weight compared with similar models. The yacht’s interiors also feature energy-efficient LED and CFL lighting for better efficiency.

The low drag design further improves fuel consumption, and also helps the yacht reach a top speed of 55 knots. For low speed operation, the new yacht will have an electric “harbor” drive, which is an electric wing engine specially designed to propel the yacht at slow speeds. When the owner requires a boost in performance and speed, he or she can kick in the twin MTU diesel engine generating an output of 2600hp.
