Eco Factor: Recycled objects sculpted into pieces of art.

Recycled art is nothing new on Ecofriend, but we just can’t let our eyes off objects reincarnated from things we usually throw in our trash bags. Yuken Teryua is another artist from Japan who knows the value of trashed objects and has the skill to make them a part of your living room in a stylish way.

The artist reuses everyday objects such as toilet paper rolls and crafts them with a level of detail into delicately sculpted pieces that can serve as wind chimes tangled in the branches of a tree. It’s not just toilet paper rolls that can take a new identity, other objects Yuken works with include pizza boxes, old shopping bags, flags and dessert boxes. Check out some of his extraordinary creations here.

The Dark Side:

Having the skill to craft eye-striking pieces of art from something we usually think to be useless is simply the best way to do your bit toward the environment. The artwork is stunning and we do appreciate the brain behind the artwork.
