Eco Factor: Sustainable development with green areas and an aqua garden.

Asymptote has proposed a sustainable “Dream Hub” complex for Seoul, Korea for the future development of the Yongsan International Business District. The concept relies on the Korean cultural landscape and has been designed with sustainability in mind.

The development will offer world class business, commercial sites, accommodation and residential amenities. The centerpiece of the architecture is a one-of-a-kind tri-part tower that will be the tallest building in Asia. The area below the tower features an aqua-garden where guests will be able to view the tower through an illuminated sheet of water.

Green space and an aqua-park would also be a part of the central square. The interiors of the architecture will be presented to the outside of the building in the most minimal form, through a distribution of lit and unlit spaces. The façade of the tower will react to the surrounding weather conditions, flickering in heat, during heavy wind and showing rain flow during storms.
