Eco Factor: Electric mototaxis powered by 400 kilos humongous batteries.
Looking at the green revolution, Dutch company Tuk Tuk Factory is on its way to offer electric mototaxis for green public transportation. Constructing it latest vehicles from the scratch, the company has decided to use a 400 kilos humongous batteries around which the entire vehicle will be designed. The 15kWh lead acid battery will let the electric tuk tuks run for good 70 to 80 kilometers on a single charge.
Powered by a 72V motor, the 6-seater reaches to a top speed of 50 km/h. It is expected that vehicle might require 10 to 12 hours charge time like its already available models. The company promises three new Europe-wide models with an additional quicker-charging Lithium battery option. It is expected that the electric tuk tuks will be reasonably priced from US$15,110 to $19,231.
