The future of urban transportation is green. So, let’s welcome yet another e-bike for a new energy era. The brainchild of industrial designer Raymond Bessemer, the “Cyomo” is an electric bicycle designed for the daily commuter. It incorporates a lithium-ion battery that powers the motor in the rear wheel’s hub, allowing the user to effortlessly move up the tough terrains.
The Cyomo features solar panels that fold up vertically to maintain a narrow profile when riding and opens out to harvest solar energy when parked. The solar energy trapped by the panels is stored in the battery for future use. So, now just ride your stylish bike to work and let it refuel itself while you finish your office task. The Cynomo is one of the most striking designs at the Seoul Cycle Design Competition 2010.
