As more and more energy bigwigs are investing in low enery projects to reduce the emission of harmful greenhouse gases. One of the prominent retailer of USA, Wal-Mart is following the industry trend.
It has recently launched compact fluorescent light bulbs. CFL has already been sold in approx 3000 stores across US. Wal-Mart’s General Merchandise Manager, Andy Baron stated, “The introduction of our Great Value bulbs make CFLs a more accessible option for our shoppers as we strive to sell 100 million CFLs by the end of 2007.” Now, pocket friendly lightbulbs will rule the market soon.
Similarly, if Wal-Mart eliminates incandescent bulbs of high energy then it will save astonishing amount of energy. UK Asda stores are also waiting anxiously for CFL light bulbs by Wal-Mart!
