Eco Factor: Recycling machine accepts aluminum cans and PET plastic bottles.
Coca-Cola has developed a new concept recycling machine in partnership with the Environment Products Corporation that accepts both aluminum cans and PET plastic bottles. Dubbed the “Reimagine,” the machine accepts bottles and cans in bulk and rewards you for each item recycled.
The items are fed to a conveyer belt system that features an optical scanner system to sort and crush items. With points being awarded through the machine, recyclers can donate funds to local schools or enter to win a sweepstakes.
