City Cottage: Set to reconnect human’s relationship with nature

City Cottage

Most of us have read the poem Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening by Robert Frost. The writer depicted the two things—the beauty of the woods and the busy mechanical life. Yes, the nature and humans are interlinked and are inseparable. However, caught in the rat race of earning money, one is moving far from the nature that has been resulting in the increased crime rate and corrupted minds. Though a few people want to at least spend their weekends in woods but they do not find any scope for the same. In order to reconnect the relation of human with nature, Finland based Verstas Architects has come out with City Cottage.

This City Cottage is a family resident—a home away from the home built on the city out skirts and in a nature preserve. The cottage is covered with lush green from all sides. Besides, one can pamper his ears and ignite the senses by listening to the birds chirping and smelling the fresh budding flowers.

City Cottage is a 14-meter-cabin, and has everything neatly equipped in it; from sofas to well designed kitchen with stove, kettle and other utensils. The walls of the cottage are made of plywood and glass. One can enjoy relaxing on the sofa while staring at the woods from the see through glasses of the wall. A family can come to this place for picnic too. Best part is the location, which is just a few miles away from the civilization. Therefore, one can easily reach the city area by just peddling a bicycle in an emergency. A great design by Verstas Architects.
