The new wing-in-ground aircraft has hit the headlines for its being able to travel long distances flying just a few meters above the sea surface. It can amazingly fly as low as half a meter from the ground, without compromising in its speed.
Yes, it can fly at a speed of up to 300 kilometers per hour (180 miles per hour) carrying up to 4 tones on takeoff.

The aircraft operates on the “ground effect” phenomenon occurring when the plane flies close to the ground, as much as at a height roughly equivalent to twice the wingspan of the plane.
