Eco Factor: First device that converted solar energy into electricity.
Living in an age where solar energy is the in thing it is interesting to know that we had an ingenious mind way back in 1958 who thought ahead of time. Charles Eames, the great American architect and designer experimented with new material to come up with new devices. In 1958, Eames created an experimental solar-powered toy that he called “Do Nothing Machine”.
The toy featuring an array of bright, moving pieces apparently did not have any function. It entire function was in its being. This device is claimed to be the first to transform solar energy into electricity. Hit the video below to see it in action.
