Eco Factor: Eco-friendly watches powered by solar energy.
Casio has been making solar-powered watches for quite some time and they’ve been made available through the company’s G-Shock and Oceanus series. The company has now added a new solar-powered watch to its G-Shock series where the actual solar panel is placed just behind the watch face.
The company claims that the watch needs just 6.2W of renewable electric power to provide up to 860,000 watch movements. Casio provided an interesting exploded view of one of the watch, where the solar panels are placed behind the face of the watch.
