For me eggshells mean nothing more than chucking it away in the bin. Except that my little one loves to crush it completely. But then creative minds have a usual outlook to all stuff that layperson like me cannot see in everyday things. Franc Grom creates and sells eggs drill about 2,500 to 3,500 holes in an eggshell with the help of an electric boring tool. Inspired by traditional Slovenian designs, he has been known to pierce a shell as many as 17,000 times. Tons of patience is needed to design an art piece out of egg shell. Sadly, I can only manage to get some water coloring and festooning to decorate a few eggshells for Easter times in my home.
