Money lies on road but the only thing you need is an eye, great mind and comprehensive research to pick it up. Yes, because now, to prove this Cardiff university researchers have came out with their new mind-blowing research that precious metal such as platinum lies on road.
According to researchers numerous precious chemicals are emitted from our cars, some are utilizable and some are very precious too like platinum but the best part is that now we can extract these chemicals from our road dust for recycling. Moreover, the best part is this new process will not only remove these materials from our roads but it will also help to cope up with the heavy demand of platinum.
Dr Hazel Prichard of Cardiff University also predicts that kilogrammes of platinum are emitted every year on our streets and roads. It is noteworthy that platinum is a vital component not only of catalytic converters but also of fuel cells and fuel cells are an important and new resource of clean energy. Currently, this new research is looking ahead to find adequate ways to extract and recycle platinum from other precious metals.
I think waste containers on the roadside can surely help researchers to pick precious metals but it is also worth mentioning that it still requires purposeful planning and procedures to follow.
