Adding to the list is a new car concept called Cali. It has been designed by Pexi LI. The car showcases the growth of material science and technology, which will also help in entering a new era of automobile design.
The concept car is powered by electricity and comes with onboard solar energy chargers that use sun’s energy to power the engine.The Cali concept city car design is quite simple. According to the designer, chassis telescopic deformation plays an important role in transforming the car. The user can adjust seats of the car according to his requirements. For example, he can transform the car into one seater, two eater, and even a four-seater. There has been extensive use of flexible and stretchable materials for both the structure and glass areas of the car. The same standards are used for designing the interiors and tires of the car. The driver’s position can also be arranged and there is no restriction for fixed position limits. The driver’s position in the cockpit can be freely changed because of the added flexibility in the car design.The concept car is also equipped with onboard solar energy chargers, which will help in absorbing energy from sun and converting it into energy.
These features of the future car, which is expected to hit the road in the year 2046, will help in nullifying the problem of traffic congestion in cities like Shanghai.
