With the organic food sales growing to $13.8 billion in 2005 – which is up 16.2 percent from the $11.9 billion as recorded in 2004 — Boulder Ice Cream’s too going organic could increase the production expanse from 20 percent to 30 percent!

But, the company’s president and chief executive officer Scott Roy thinks that the move is worth it! – it is because, it reflects not only the trends but also the company’s principles.

According to Roy, the sales of the company will increase with the expansion of its facility and its shift to organic. Its revenues have already increased about 20 percent annually, Roy said. He believes that the sales growth would climb to 60 percent to 80 percent in 2007.
