Eco Factor: Decorative light powered by solar energy.
The Blue Vs Green Light is a solar-powered decorative light envisioned by Australian designer Christopher James. The light is made up of a central tube, two end caps and a decorative outer shell. The caps at each end are equipped with a solar panel which recharges two different AA batteries and an LED light.
One side of the light features a green LED and the other is equipped with a blue LED. The light has been designed to sit vertically in front of a window during the day to harvest clean energy, which allows a single solar panel to recharge a single AA battery. At night the light automatically powers the LEDs at the end of the tube.
If the user wants both the green and blue lights to work equally, he will have to flip the light to ensure that both solar panels get an equal share of energy. Otherwise, the light creates different patterns that depend on the amount of energy stored in the batteries. The interactive light never produces the same light quality twice and the user can play with the colors according to their liking.
