Biodegradable ‘Wheat-Based’ Cutlery

wheat based cutlery

The ‘eco-friendly’ buzzword has entered the kitchen long back, but it’s selling well only recently. Plastic and wood are the most common materials used in kitchen. But, with an increasing concern for environment manufacturers are gradually shifting to alternative materials. That exactly what Earthware Biodegradable is doing. To find a solution to our ‘throw away’ society Jerome Rubin started this company.

The company’s debut included non-GMO wheat-based cutlery. Though it breaks down completely in 3-6 weeks, the one thing we love is that it’s safe for people who have gluten allergies. But, it has a shelf life of five years. The beautiful and elegant cutlery is heat-resistant and dishwasher safe. Since this cutlery is reusable, it seems to us it will be around for awhile.

Presently, Earthware Biodegradables is also selling corn-based cutlery and in the next few months they plan to add more biodegradable, compostable, and recyclable products for the home and professional food service industry. Congratulation and all the best to Earthware Biodegradable.
