The UAV flew for 15 minutes at speeds up to 100kph at an altitude of less than 300 meters. The drone produces no carbon dioxide emissions and because of its electric engine, is extremely silent. Costing about $15,822 the UAV weighs 22kg and is nearly 2 meters long and produces 1KW of power. The team is now working to better the credentials of the UAV and make it fly in the air for as long as three hours at a time.
